Milan, May 5 (LaPresse) – President Donald Trump is considering a new wave in his tariff war, targeting films produced abroad. Trump said Sunday night that he has authorized the Department of Commerce and the Office of the United States Trade Representative to impose a 100% tariff "on all films entering our country that are produced abroad." It was not immediately clear how such a tariff on international productions could be enforced. It is common for films, both large and small, to include production in both the U.S. and other countries. Big-budget films like the upcoming Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, for example, are shot all over the world.
