Rome, May 7 (LaPresse) – Russia "will likely not respect" the three-day truce it unilaterally announced between May 8 and 10 amid ongoing hostilities with Ukraine, said French President Emmanuel Macron during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friederich Merz at the Élysée Palace. “Beyond the three promised days, which will likely be broken as in the past, is the Russian president finally serious? Has he finally decided to keep his word, particularly the one given in talks with the U.S. administration? That’s what matters to us,” Macron stated.
