UN: ‘Over 28,000 women killed since the start of the war in Gaza’

Milan, 20 May (LaPresse) – UN Women, the UN agency for women, estimates that over 28,000 women and girls have been killed in Gaza since the start of the war in October 2023, an average of one woman and one girl killed every hour in attacks by Israeli forces. ‘Among the victims, thousands were mothers, leaving behind children, families and devastated communities,’ a statement said.
