Milan, June 10 (LaPresse) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for the response to the Russian attacks to be “not the silence of the world, but concrete action.” He singled out the United States, saying they have “the power to force Russia to peace,” and Europe, stating that it “has no alternative but to be strong.” Zelensky, in a post on X following the latest round of Russian raids overnight on Ukraine—described as “one of the largest attacks against Kyiv,” also hitting Odessa, the Dnipro region, and Chernihiv region—called for “action from all those around the world who have called for diplomacy and the end of the war, which Russia has ignored.” “Strong pressure is needed for the sake of peace,” he reiterated.
"Russian missiles and Shahed attacks are choking the efforts of the United States and other countries around the world to force Russia to peace. For yet another night, instead of a ceasefire, there have been massive attacks with Shahed drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles," Zelensky wrote, reporting that "in total Russia used 315 drones in the attack, of which 250 were Shahed, and 7 missiles, 2 of which were North Korean-made ballistic missiles."
"Residential buildings and urban infrastructure were damaged. In Odessa, even a maternity hospital became a Russian target. Thirteen people were injured. Unfortunately, there are also casualties," the Ukrainian president continued, then made his appeal:
"It is essential that the response to this and other similar attacks by Russia is not the silence of the world, but concrete action. Action by America, which has the power to force Russia to peace. Action by Europe, which has no alternative but to be strong. Action by all those around the world who have called for diplomacy and the end of the war and whom Russia has ignored. Strong pressure is necessary for the sake of peace."
