India, bridge collapses in Sato Maharashtra: 2 dead, others swept away

The accident occurred in the Kundamala area of Pune district, which has been hit by heavy rains in recent days, causing the river to rise, according to police reports. It was not raining at the time of the bridge collapse, police said. At least five people have been rescued and are now in hospital, according to authorities.
