Turin, 16 June (LaPresse) – "This is not a war that can end quickly, unless the entire international community intervenes and the conditions for the survival of both countries are restored. If Israel is not certain that Iran will stop pursuing the atomic bomb, this conflict will not end unless the regime falls, which is now unlikely, so we must expect days and days of fighting." This was stated by Defence Minister Guido Crosetto, speaking on a special edition of Tg1. ‘There is a very serious conflict underway,’ he emphasised, "there are two countries that have been preparing for years. Israel has been preparing to intervene in Iran for some time, concerned about the atomic weapon, which has always been its main concern, more than any other proxy, Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis. So this is the war that Israel has always been preparing for, and on the other side, Iran has been preparing for some time to withstand an attack by Israel and to respond."
