Milan, 16 June (LaPresse) – Vance Boelter, the 57-year-old suspected of shooting two Minnesota lawmakers, has been arrested. Law enforcement officials confirmed this to the Associated Press. Former Democratic Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark were killed in their Brooklyn Park home on Saturday morning, in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis. State Senator John Hoffman, also a Democrat, and his wife Yvette were injured at their home in Champlin, about 15 kilometres away. The arrest took place in Green Isle, west of Minneapolis: Boelter is charged with double murder and attempted double murder.
