Middle East: media reports no results from first round of negotiations in Doha

Milan, 7 July (LaPresse) – The Qatari channel Al-Arabi reported, citing sources, that the first round of negotiations between Israel and Hamas in Doha, Qatar, did not lead to a breakthrough and that the second round will begin soon. During the first round, Hamas reportedly insisted on including in the agreement amendments that had already been deemed “unacceptable” by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office.
