Islamabad (Pakistan), 7 July (LaPresse/AP) – The death toll in Pakistan from 10 days of monsoon rains and flooding has risen to 72, with over 130 injured, according to the National Disaster Management Authority. Since 26 June, victims have been reported in several provinces: north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eastern Punjab, southern Sindh and south-western Balochistan. The National Disaster Management Authority has urged local officials to remain on high alert and advised tourists to avoid visiting the affected areas as further rains could block highways and trigger flash floods.
