Tariffs, China: ‘BRICS mechanism does not target any country’

Milan, 7 July (LaPresse) – When asked to comment on US President Donald Trump's threat to impose additional 10% tariffs on BRICS members for their so-called ‘anti-American policies’, Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said that the BRICS mechanism ‘is an important platform for cooperation between emerging markets and developing countries, promoting openness, inclusiveness and win-win cooperation, and does not target any country.’ This was reported by the Global Times.
