Turin, Sept. 2 (LaPresse) – Israel is facing the “decisive phase” of the war against Hamas, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video message to IDF soldiers, as preparations continue for the capture of Gaza City. Reported by Times of Israel, Netanyahu stated, “We are working to defeat Hamas, but along the way, we have also achieved extraordinary results by breaking the Iranian axis — in Gaza, Lebanon with Hezbollah, with the Assad regime collapsing, and with Iran itself threatening us existentially, which we have eliminated together, and now also with the Houthis.” He added, “What started in Gaza must end in Gaza.” Netanyahu emphasized that during the war, his government made “very difficult decisions, decisions no one thought we could really implement. But we did because you gave us — and gave me — the strength to lead Israel to total victory.” “Now we face the decisive phase. I believe in you, I trust you, and the entire nation embraces you,” he concluded, as tens of thousands of reservists are being called up.
