Milan, Sep 9 (LaPresse) – Palestinian civilians in all areas of Gaza City must evacuate immediately ahead of a major ground offensive against Hamas in the area, as ordered by the IDF. The warning from the Israeli army, reported by the Times of Israel, marks the first large-scale evacuation order for the entire city of Gaza. Previous warnings issued by the IDF in recent days concerned only specific buildings and surrounding areas. “The IDF is determined to defeat Hamas and will operate in the Gaza City area with great force, just as it has throughout the Strip,” stated Colonel Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic spokesperson, on X. Palestinians are being asked to move towards the humanitarian zone designated by Israel in the south of the Strip via the coastal road. “Staying in the area is extremely dangerous,” says Adraee. The announcement also provides a phone number for Palestinians to “report Hamas roadblocks or attempts by its members to prevent evacuation.”
