Bad weather: woman dies in violent storm in western France

Milan, 22 September (LaPresse) – A woman lost her life in Guingamp due to storms that hit the Côtes d’Armor department in western France on Sunday evening. The woman, aged around 50, was driving on a flooded road in Ploumagoar at around 5 a.m. Disruption continues in the department and Météo France has maintained an orange alert for rain and flooding this morning. This was reported by French broadcaster Bfmtv. The meteorological institute reports a “storm episode requiring special monitoring due to the significant rainfall it could generate locally. Rainfall equivalent to more than a month’s worth of precipitation is expected in the western part of Côtes-d’Armor”.
