Gaza, Israel: “Flotilla Serves Hamas, We Will Stop It”

Turin, Sept. 22 (LaPresse) – “This flotilla, organized by Hamas, is intended to serve Hamas. Israel will not allow the vessels to enter an active combat zone and will not permit the violation of a legitimate naval blockade,” the Israeli Foreign Ministry said in a statement regarding the Global Sumud Flotilla expedition. “If the real intent of the flotilla participants is to provide humanitarian aid and not to serve Hamas, Israel invites the vessels to dock at the Ashkelon Marina and unload the aid there, from where it will be promptly and coordinately transferred to the Gaza Strip,” the statement reads. Israel urges participants not to violate the law and to accept the Israeli proposal for the peaceful transfer of any aid in their possession.
