Rome, 25 September. (LaPresse) – ‘Two Hungarian Gripen fighter jets from the NATO Baltic Air Policing mission took off today from the Siauliai base in Lithuania to respond to the presence of a Russian Su-30, Su-35 and three MiG-31s flying near Latvian airspace.’ This was announced by Allied Air Command in a message on X. ‘Hungary, NATO emphasises, is thus demonstrating the Alliance’s commitment to protecting the Baltic countries and its eastern flank.’
