Ukraine, Kremlin: “Shooting down our jets? Irresponsible statements”

Moscow, Sept. 26 (LaPresse) – Statements by some European countries about their willingness to shoot down Russian military aircraft violating Alliance airspace are irresponsible. This was stated by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, according to Russian news agencies. “I don’t even want to talk about it, because it is a very irresponsible statement,” Peskov said. “Accusations against Russia that its aircraft violated someone’s airspace or invaded anyone’s skies are unfounded; no convincing evidence has been presented,” he added. “We insist that all flights of our military aircraft are carried out in strict compliance with international norms,” he concluded.
