EU, Frederiksen: “Shoot down drones over our territory”

Copenhagen (Denmark), Oct. 1 (LaPresse) – “In general, I am in favor of striking drones that violate our airspace. In Denmark, there is a mandate to try to shoot them down. Of course, it must be done in the right way because there is a civil society that must be able to function. But in Denmark, there is a mandate to do this.” This was stated by Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen upon her arrival at the informal European Council in Copenhagen. “The general idea of using frozen Russian assets, I think, is a good idea. We have supported Ukraine throughout this war, and Europe must do more, including on the funding issue. I believe the Commission’s idea is actually a good step forward. Of course, there are some legal issues that need to be resolved, but I am confident that we will find a solution,” Frederiksen added.
