Russia, Putin: ‘Times are changing, we must be ready for anything’

Milan, 2 October (LaPresse) – “We have noticed more than once that we are living in an era in which everything is changing, and very quickly. I would say that it is changing radically. None of us, of course, can fully predict the future, but this does not exempt us from the responsibility of being prepared for anything that may happen.” Russian President Vladimir Putin said this in his speech at the plenary session of the Valdai Conference, as reported by the Tass news agency. ‘In practice, as recent events have shown, we must be prepared for anything,’ added the Kremlin leader, ‘everyone’s responsibility in these historical times is particularly great: for their own destiny, for the destiny of the country and for the whole world. And the stakes here are extremely high.’
