Flotilla, Farnesina: Four Italian MPs released by Israel

Rome, Oct. 3 (LaPresse) – The Italian Foreign Ministry (Farnesina) reports that the four Italian parliamentarians who were part of the Flotilla have been released by Israeli authorities. Senator Marco Croatti, MEP Annalisa Corrado, Deputy Arturo Scotto, and MEP Benedetta Scuderi were detained while approaching the Gaza coast.

Minister Tajani held multiple contacts with Israeli Minister Saar, requesting their immediate release. The Italian parliamentarians were transferred to Tel Aviv airport and will take a commercial flight assisted by embassy staff. They are scheduled to depart for Rome on flight IZ 335 at 10 a.m. local time.
