Rome, Oct 4 (LaPresse) – A first group of 26 Italian citizens who were on the Flotilla is about to leave Israel on a charter flight, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced.
“We have secured seats for them on a Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul. They have already been transferred to the Ramon airbase and will depart from Eilat airport,” he wrote on X.
“The other 15 Italians did not sign the voluntary release form and will have to wait for judicial expulsion, which will take place next week,” he added, explaining that he had “again instructed the Italian Embassy in Tel Aviv to ensure that the remaining compatriots are treated with full respect for their rights.”
