Washington (US), Oct 8 (LaPresse) – Negotiations over Gaza are going “very well” and “we are close” to an agreement, said Donald Trump. “I might go there toward the weekend, maybe Sunday,” added the US President, speaking during an event at the White House. A ceasefire agreement could be reached within the next 48 hours, CNN reports, citing several sources familiar with the talks. Two Israeli sources said the deal is “very close,” with one of them adding that an announcement could come within the next 24 hours.
