Brussels, 9 October (LaPresse) – “The first phase of the Gaza agreement is an important step towards peace. Of course, we have to plan for the “day after”, and that is why we are here. Any plan that works also needs international support. The European Union is ready to do its part. We are ready to redeploy our Eubam-Rafah mission to the Rafah border crossing. We are also ready to discuss what we can do with the Eupol Copps mandate to support the stabilisation force as well,‘ and ’so we are ready to discuss how we can contribute to the peace plan so that this peace is also sustainable on the ground.” This was stated by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, in Paris for the ministerial meeting on the implementation of the US peace plan.
