Turin, Oct. 11 (LaPresse) – An unidentified man reportedly opened fire in a square in the German city of Giessen, in central Hesse. According to the police, three people were injured. Bild reports that the shooting took place in a betting agency near the market square. The perpetrator is on the run, but authorities say there is no threat to the public. According to the ‘mittelhessen’ portal, police have closed off access to the market square. A police spokesperson told Bild: “There are no deaths. At the moment, I can’t say anything about the severity of the injuries.” The weapon used was either a pistol or a revolver. “We are present on the scene with a large deployment of forces,” the spokesperson added.
