French Ministry of Culture: ‘Eight jewels stolen from the Louvre’

Milan, 19 October (LaPresse) – According to the latest report from the French Ministry of Culture, eight jewels were stolen from the Louvre Museum in Paris. These include the tiara from the set belonging to Queen Maria Amelia and Queen Ortensia, the necklace from the sapphire set belonging to Queen Maria Amelia and Queen Ortensia, a pair of earrings from the sapphire set belonging to Queen Maria Amelia and Queen Ortensia, the emerald necklace from Maria Luisa’s set, a pair of emerald earrings from Maria Luisa’s set, the brooch known as the reliquary brooch, Empress Eugénie’s tiara and the large bow from Empress Eugénie’s bodice.
