Ukraine, von der Leyen: “US sanctions on Moscow are good, pressure on the aggressor”

Brussels, Oct 23 (LaPresse) – “I appreciated the call with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and the Treasury’s decision to sanction major Russian oil companies in response to Russia’s lack of commitment to the peace process,” wrote European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on X. “With the imminent adoption of the 19th EU sanctions package, this is a clear signal from both sides of the Atlantic that we will continue to exert collective pressure on the aggressor,” she added.
