Milan-Cortina, Tajani: ‘We need an Olympic truce, a symbol of hope’

Brussels, 24 October (LaPresse) – “In recent days, we have promoted a resolution at the United Nations for an Olympic truce to stop the fighting during the Games. This is a UN tradition, which Italy wants to see become a reality. I am certain that together we will be able to make the Olympics not only a great sporting event but also a symbol of unity, friendship and hope for Europe and the world.” This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani in a video message at the Bocconi event “Sport as a key factor in European policies”.
