Milan, 25 October (LaPresse) – Following the theft almost a week ago, part of the collection of jewellery that was not stolen and some of the most valuable pieces from the Louvre Museum in Paris were transferred yesterday morning to the Bank of France, to the main vault located 26 metres underground. According to Le Parisien, almost all of France’s gold reserves are already stored in the same vault, along with several national treasures. For several years, this space has also housed Leonardo da Vinci’s precious notebooks, estimated to be worth over €600 million.
