Jerusalem, 28 October (LaPresse/AP) – Israeli authorities have stated that they killed three Palestinian militants this morning during an operation in the northern part of the occupied West Bank. Israeli police said the three men were killed as they emerged from a cave near Jenin. According to the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), the militants ‘took part in terrorist activities in Jenin’. Two were killed in the first burst of gunfire. The third, who was wounded, was killed shortly afterwards. An earlier statement reported that the Israeli army had carried out an air strike shortly afterwards to destroy the cave.
