Belgium: drones spotted at military base in Wallonia

Brussels, 29 October (LaPresse) – Several drones were spotted above the Marche-en-Famenne military base in Wallonia, Belgium. This was reported by Defence Minister Theo Francken, according to the Belga news agency. The police and the military intelligence service Adiv are conducting an investigation. ‘Our guard post in Marche-en-Famenne noticed several drones flying over crucial parts of our army brigade headquarters on Saturday evening for an extended period of time,’ Francken wrote on X. It is still unclear where they came from, he told Het Laatste Nieuws. ‘This was clearly an orchestrated operation against the heart of our army,’ he said. ‘They were looking for crucial information about critical infrastructure located on military property,’ he added.
