Spain, Mazon: ‘29 October declared official day of mourning for Dana victims’

Madrid (Spain), 29 October (LaPresse) – The governor of the Valencia region, Carlos Mazon, has announced that his executive has declared 29 October an official day of mourning for the victims of Dana. ‘In memory of all the victims and with deep respect’ for their families, the government ‘has declared 29 October a day of remembrance for the victims of Dana,’ ‘this day will now be a day of official mourning,’ Mazon said in an institutional statement from the government headquarters. ‘29 October will never be forgotten,’ assured Mazon, who added: ‘A year ago, when the floods caused devastating consequences, which we continue to heal humanly and repair materially today, there were things that should have worked better.’
