Israel: two-thirds of citizens consider it a US vassal state

Rome, 1 Nov. (LaPresse) – Two-thirds (67%) of Israelis believe that the United States is currently making decisions regarding IDF operations in Gaza, according to an Israeli television poll. Twenty-four per cent of respondents to the Channel 12 poll say that Israel is making the decisions, while the remaining 9% do not know. The poll also asked whether respondents believe Israel has become a ‘vassal state’ of the United States, an idea that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and senior US officials have rejected, with 69% agreeing, 25% disagreeing and the remaining 6% unsure.
