Milan, 3 November (LaPresse) – One of the Italian mountaineers missing in Nepal has been found dead. This was reported by the Kathmandu Post, which states that seven people died, four were injured and four others are missing after an avalanche hit the base camp of Yalung Ri peak, also known as Mount Panbari (5,630 metres) in the Rolwaling valley in the Himalayas. Among the dead, in addition to one Italian, are three US citizens, one Canadian and two Nepalese, according to Deputy Police Superintendent Gyan Kumar Mahato of the Dolakha District Police Office. The avalanche occurred while the team of Nepalese and foreign climbers, together with local guides, were at the Yalung Ri base camp, preparing to climb the highest peak, Dolma Khang (6,332 metres).
