Louisville (United States), Nov. 6 (LaPresse) – The death toll in the plane crash involving a UPS cargo aircraft has risen to at least 12, after the left wing caught fire and an engine detached shortly before the plane crashed and exploded after takeoff in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. A federal official reported the disaster, in which a child also died. After clearance for takeoff, a large fire developed in the left wing, said Todd Inman, a member of the National Transportation Safety Board, which is conducting the investigation. Security footage from the airport showed flames on the plane’s left wing and a trail of smoke. The incident caused a devastating chain reaction, striking and causing smaller explosions at Kentucky Petroleum Recycling and hitting a scrapyard, Grade A Auto Parts.
