Milan, 6 November (LaPresse) -. “Today, UNIFIL peacekeeping forces observed numerous Israeli air strikes in Tayr Dibbah, Taibe and Ayta al Jabal, within our area of operations in southern Lebanon. These air strikes constitute clear violations of Security Council Resolution 1701. They come as the Lebanese Armed Forces are undertaking operations to control unauthorised weapons and infrastructure in the southern Litani area. Any military action, especially of such destructive magnitude, threatens the safety of civilians and undermines the progress made towards a political and diplomatic solution.” This was reported on the UNIFIL mission’s Telegram account.
