This was stated by Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, in an interview with the Russian news agency Ria Novosti, adding that Russia is monitoring the actions of the United States. “Naturally, this has caused an uproar in the world and in the United States, because many understand the danger of this step, the danger of resuming nuclear tests, which have not been conducted since the early 1990s. This could lead to a new escalation, an endless arms race, and generally unpredictable consequences. But we are watching, observing,” said Nebenzya. “President Putin has dotted all the i’s,” he concluded.
