Tokyo, 9 Nov. (LaPresse/AP) – The Japan Meteorological Agency reported that a strong earthquake struck off the northern coast of Japan on Sunday and a tsunami warning was issued. The agency said the quake, with a preliminary magnitude of 6.7, struck the coast of Iwate Prefecture at a depth of 10 kilometres below the sea surface.
