Milan, Nov. 10. (LaPresse) – Israel is determined to enforce the ceasefire agreements in Gaza and Lebanon “with an iron fist.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made this statement in a speech to the plenary session of the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, specifying “of course, only as long as they exist.” Netanyahu added that military pressure on Hamas and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) operation in Gaza City, “together with the addition of diplomatic pressure to isolate Hamas exerted by the United States, this combined pressure has allowed us to bring home all the hostages alive and the vast majority of the fallen hostages.” “We prevented a painful surrender” by not yielding to internal and international pressure, Netanyahu claimed, accusing the opposition of pushing for an agreement that would have meant capitulation to Hamas. “In your way, the hostages would not have returned, but worse still, Hamas would be preparing for the next kidnappings,” Netanyahu said, addressing the opposition. Israel “is determined to bring back the four remaining hostages killed in Gaza,” according to The Times of Israel.
