Manila (Philippines), 11 November (LaPresse/AP) – The death toll from Typhoon Fung-wong, which struck the north-western part of the Philippines yesterday, causing flooding and landslides, has risen to 10. Among the dead are three children who were swept away by two separate landslides in the mountainous province of Nueva Vizcaya. Police told the Associated Press that four other people were injured. Another landslide in the neighbouring province of Kalinga killed two villagers and left two others missing. Other casualties were reported in the collapse of houses in the provinces of Catanduanes, Eastern Samar, Nueva Vizcaya, Mountain Province and Ifugao.
