Milan, 11 Nov. (LaPresse) – ‘In the area of the village of Kupyansk, in the Kharkiv region, assault units of the Sixth Army continued to destroy the encircled enemy group. The eastern part of the city has been completely liberated.’ This is according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defence, as reported by Ria Novosti. Kupyansk is a key city for the defence of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the eastern part of the Kharkiv region. It is located on the Oskol River, which divides it into two parts. It serves as a defensive line and a natural barrier along which the front line runs. The capture of the city will allow the Russians to cross the river and advance further west into the region.
