(LaPresse/AP) – Possible drone fragments have been found in south-eastern Romania, on the border with Ukraine, after overnight Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports on the Danube. Romanian radars detected groups of drones near the NATO member country’s airspace shortly after midnight on Tuesday, prompting the Romanian Ministry of Defence to issue an alert to residents in the region. Weather conditions prevented the deployment of fighter jets, but military teams were able to recover possible drone fragments about 5 kilometres inside the Romanian border with Ukraine.
