Rome, 15 Nov. (LaPresse) – ‘We are beginning to reorganise the main state-owned companies operating in the energy sector. In parallel with a complete audit of financial activities, it is necessary to renew the management of these companies. Today, together with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and Economy Minister Oleksiy Sobolev, we have defined the procedure to be followed.’ This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a post on Telegram after the corruption scandal that rocked the energy sector. Regarding Energoatom, which operates nuclear power plants, Zelensky said that ‘within a week, all conditions for the formation of a new and professional supervisory board for the company’ and ‘for the complete reorganisation of the board of directors’ must be met. .
