Milan, 20 Nov. (LaPresse) – French Justice Minister Gérald Darmanin visited Marseille, where he stated that ‘the law on drug trafficking that we have just passed will enable us to respond to a threat that kills many people’. According to Darmanin, this threat is ‘at least equivalent to that of terrorism on national territory’. Darmanin is in Marseille to reiterate the government’s commitment to fighting drug trafficking following the 13 November murder of Mehdi Kessaci, brother of environmental activist Amine Kessaci, who was shot dead in the 4th arrondissement, in a drug-dealing area, by two people on a motorbike. This was reported by broadcaster Bfmtv.
