Ukraine, Russia returns 1,000 bodies and receives 30 from Kiev

Milan, 20 November (LaPresse) – ‘Today, as part of the Istanbul agreements, Russia handed over to Ukraine more than 1,000 bodies of fallen soldiers from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Ukrainian side handed over 30 bodies of fallen Russian soldiers to Russia.’ This was stated by a source at the Tass agency. ‘Law enforcement investigators, together with specialised institutions of the Ministry of the Interior, will soon carry out all the necessary examinations and identify the repatriated bodies,’ said the Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, confirming the exchange of bodies.
