Milan, 25 Nov. (LaPresse) – Taiwan is ‘a fully sovereign and independent nation’ and ‘returning’ to China is not an option for the 23 million Taiwanese. This was stated by Taiwanese Prime Minister Cho Jung-tai, rejecting comments made yesterday by Chinese President Xi Jinping in his telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, during which he said that ‘Taiwan’s return to China is an important component of the post-war international order’.
