Ukraine, Trump: “Russia is making concessions”

Their biggest concession is that they are stopping fighting and not taking any more land.” This was stated by President Donald Trump aboard Air Force One en route to Florida. CNN reports this. The White House chief added that envoy Steve Witkoff will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, “perhaps” with Jared Kushner. “I’m not sure Jared will go, but he’s involved in the process, he’s a smart guy. And they will meet President Putin, I believe next week in Moscow,” Trump emphasized. “I’d like to see all this end, and we won’t know for a while, but we’re making progress,” the U.S. president continued, who had previously set a Thursday deadline for Kyiv to accept a proposed peace plan, only to later retract. When asked whether he was imposing a new deadline, Trump replied: “You know what the deadline is for me? When it’s over.”
