US: Trump administration suspends immigration applications from 19 countries

Washington (USA), Dec. 3 (LaPresse/AP) – The US administration of Donald Trump has suspended immigration applications, including green cards, for people from 19 countries that were previously subject to travel bans. The decision follows the shooting that involved two members of the National Guard near the White House. USCIS will carry out a comprehensive review of the applications of immigrants from these countries who are already in the United States, regardless of their date of arrival. The countries affected include Afghanistan, Iran, Libya, Yemen, Somalia, Haiti, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea and seven others with limited access.
