Ukraine, Trump: “We will take part in Saturday’s meeting if there is a chance for an agreement”

Washington, Dec. 12 (LaPresse) – “We will take part in Saturday’s meeting in Europe if we believe there are good chances. We don’t want to waste too much time. We want the issue to be resolved.” This was stated by U.S. President Donald Trump, quoted by U.S. media, regarding the upcoming summit on Ukraine. Trump promised to contribute to security efforts should Russia and Ukraine reach a peace agreement. “It’s called a security agreement,” Trump said during the signing of an executive order, when asked about previous discussions concerning the United States’ contribution to European peacekeeping efforts in the event of an agreement. “We would contribute to security because it is a necessary factor, I believe, to achieve this goal,” the president said.
