WSJ: US seeking 10,000 troops for multinational Gaza force

Milan, Dec. 13 (LaPresse) – Officials in the administration of US President Donald Trump are seeking to recruit a multinational force of around 10,000 soldiers under the command of a US general to stabilize postwar Gaza, but acknowledge that it will take most of next year to put it in place. US officials told the Wall Street Journal that no foreign country has yet committed troops, partly because of concerns that the mission could expand to include disarming Hamas militants who remain active in parts of the devastated enclave.
