Turin, 19 Dec. (LaPresse) – The Brazilian Supreme Court has rejected the new appeal filed by former President Jair Bolsonaro against his conviction for attempting a coup. This was reported by Globo. Judge Alexandre de Moraes ruled that Bolsonaro’s defence could not file a further appeal and did not consider the request. The lawyers of the former president, who began serving a 27-year sentence in November, had filed an appeal three days after his arrest.
