Washington (USA), Dec. 21 (LaPresse) – U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem confirmed that the U.S. Coast Guard, with the help of the Department of Defense, stopped an oil tanker carrying crude oil, flying the Panamanian flag, which had docked in Venezuela. “The United States will continue to pursue the illicit trafficking of sanctioned oil, used to finance narco-terrorism in the region. We will find you and we will stop you,” Noem wrote on X, also posting a video of a U.S. helicopter landing with personnel on a ship called ‘Centuries.’ This is the second tanker stopped off the coast of Venezuela in less than two weeks, as U.S. President Donald Trump continues to increase pressure on Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.
